46. Virginia: Lawrence Taylor (Williamsburg)
A late bloomer who didn’t play organized football until his junior year at Lafayette High School in Williamsburg, Taylor went on to star at UNC before the New York Giants drafted him. “L.T.” completely changed the geometry of the NFL. His violent speed and power off the edge forced NFL teams to redesign blocking schemes and prioritize the left tackle position. He won two Super Bowls, three Defensive Player of the Year awards, and the 1986 league MVP.
