45. Vermont: Kelly Clark (West Dover)
Growing up snowboarding on the snowy slopes of Mount Snow Academy in Vermont, Clark became a trailblazing pioneer for women in extreme winter sports. She competed in an astonishing five Winter Olympics, winning the gold medal in the halfpipe in 2002, followed by bronze medals in 2010 and 2014. With her massive amplitude and technical progression, she set the absolute standard for women’s competitive snowboarding for nearly two decades.
