Born into a family of skiers in Vail, Shiffrin was practically raised on the Rocky Mountain slopes. She burst onto the international scene as a teenager and has since become the most dominant and winningest alpine skier in World Cup history, breaking Ingemar Stenmark’s all-time win record. With multiple Olympic gold medals and World Championship titles, she is a technical master of the slalom and giant slalom.
